God really does answer prayers!

Thanksgiving has come and gone. We are now into the nightly count down till Christmas. It has been quite a journey this year. I have watched on son grow so mature and finally start to excel at school. I have then watched the other son grow in knowledge and love for the Lord. Jeffrey has been through alot this year and he has now doubt as to who saved his life both physically and eternally. He is wise way beyond his little 6 years.

This past week we returned to Children's Medical Center for a follow-up MRI. They have to completely put Jeffrey out to do the MRI. This makes things kind of stressed but Jeffrey seems to do very well. This time we were even tear free. We got a call on Friday and were told that the aneurysm was almost completely gone. They did see a small spot on the artery where the aneurysm was, but they feel that this spot is due to scare tissue. If this is scare tissue then they aneurysm was caused by an injury rather then a birth defect, which is wonderful news. We will have a meeting with all of his doctors on January 19th to go over the MRI and see all the pictures. At that time we will schedule a angeogram (sp?) to actually go in with a camera and see what the spot is in the artery. This will be worse than the MRI but it will finally give us the answers that we are looking for.

I do have a couple of pictures to post. A couple of weeks ago I took the boys to Dickens of a Christmas in downtown McKinney. They had a great time and it was fun just to walk around downtown and see all the sights. I hope to update more before Christmas.

Time is flying by!!

I can not believe that next week is already Thanksgiving. This year has flown by way too quick. Harold and I have so much to be thankful for this year. Not only did we celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary yesterday, but, Jeffrey has almost a clean bill of health. He has had no problems from his stroke and we have no one to give thanks to but God. We go back on December 4th for another MRI and are praying that the blood clot is completely gone so that we can get off the blood thinners.

Harold and I were both off work today so we did a little Christmas shopping for the boys. It is much easier to shop without them. I can remember many years where we would go to Walmart with the boys in tow and pick out toys to put on lay away. We would walk around the store and they would point out things that they wanted and while one of us entertained the boys in the video game department the other one would go around and gather up all the things they had picked out and take them to the lay away department. They never saw anything, yet we had finished our Christmas shopping right under their noses.

I have also done really good with getting alot of things for free to give a Christmas gifts. I was able to make a 20 page, hard back cover photo book for only $7.57 shipping. It is amazing what you can get with only paying shipping.

I hope to have more pictures to load next time. Now we are off to have our anniversary dinner.

Love you all!

Elvis is in the house!!

Okay it has been forever since I have updated!! We survived Halloween and I even have some pictures to show.

Jeffrey decided that he wanted to be Elvis this year. We colored his hair black and he even practiced his Elvis moves to show everyone.

We had never let Jordon dress up scarey but this year he was a Skateboard Zombie. He decided that he was a little too old to trick or treat so he rode his bike with some friends and watched everyone else get all the candy. It was kind of sad to see that he was really growing up. It is hard when your first one wants to quit doing things cause he is TOO OLD! That makes me feel too old!!

Baseball season is drawing to a close next week so our evenings will be alot quieter. I have started a new job! I'm a substitute teacher for MISD. I never in a million years thought I would work in a classroom as a teacher. I always pictured myself in the office or library but not the classroom. I LOVE it though. The kids are so much fun. I even substituted in a kindergarten bilingual class this week! That was a little bit of a challange but I survived.

Other than that not alot to report. It is hard to believe that the holiday season is fast approaching. This year has flown by. We will be celebrating our anniversary in just 2 weeks. Miracles never end. Even with all the stuff we do and places we go and lack of time we have just to sit and breathe, I would not change my life for anything. God has been so good to us and I can take no credit for it at all.

Pumpkin Patch

This past week Jeffrey's 1st grade class went to the Pumpkin Patch in Celina. I have not been to the Pumpkin Patch since Jordon was in kindergarten. It was alot of fun but it sure was cold. We had about 60 kids that went with us.

Life is good

Well, keeping up with a blog is alot more work than I thought. Jeffrey went back to Children's last Monday and the doctors are amazed at how well he is doing. The doctor said that the man must be looking after us and Harold and I can honestly say that GOD has blessed us a hundred times over. According to the doctors if Jeffrey had been 60 years or older he probably would not have survived the stroke. Looking at him today you would never know that anything had happened to him.

Our lives never seem to slow down either. Harold is working very hard at Time Warner and I'm working part-time at a preschool in Allen and getting ready to start substitute teaching at the schools here in McKinney. All that and baseball several times a week as well as bible studies. I will have to say that even though my life is very, very busy I would not trade it for the world. I love watching my boys play baseball and even after 15 years with Harold, I still love seeing him walk through the door every evening after work.

Speaking of 15 years, I never thought it would last 2 years. We were talking last night about how long we had been married. When we got married we both had the mentality that we would get married, work really hard to make it work but if it didn't then we would move on and learn from our mistakes. Now our mentality has totally changed. We still work at it but it is much easier now and we both feel that we are married to each other for life. And I would not have it any other way.

I will try to post more pictures and better ones so that you can see just how handsome my boys are.

Baseball is my life!

I wish that I had more to report, but, baseball seems to be my life right now. Jeffrey has been playing catcher for his team and is loving every minute of it. Jordon's team just moved up to an older age league and are not doing so good. It has been hard for the boys since they have have been the best in their league for the last two seasons. Coach Steve has been working the boys hard to try to teach them the new rules and he is a great coach.

Harold and I have been exercising together to try to get in shape. It has been fun getting to spend some time alone with my hubby during our busy schedules. We are getting ready to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. Who knew that we would be together this long!! :)

Well, Jeffrey is wanting to do a math workbook so I'm off to spend time with him.

Love you guys!!

Justus Family Blog

Well, I knew it would happen someday..............

The Justus Family has its own blog!!!

Our life seems so boring but we are always on the go. The boys are in 5th and 1st grade now and both are playing another season of baseball. There does not seem to be anything greater than watching my boys play baseball. Even if it is just practice, I love being there.

Here is Jordon on his team the Braves

Here is Jeffrey on his new team the Cubs

Not much else is going on these days just alot of baseball. I will try to update on my days off from the preschool. Please keep Jeffrey in your prayers. He is doing great health wise after his stroke but we still have alot of testing to do at Children's and our next visit there is on October 6th.
Love you all!!
